March 2014

Three weeks: USVI and BVI - Our last 'vacation' trip on Mowzer before we move aboard in a more permanent state in the fall.

November 2013

We had planned to join the Fountaine-Pajot Owner's Rendez-vous in St. Martin / St. Bart's.

However selling the house has pleasantly gotten in the way so we cancelled this trip.

March 2013

Two weeks + : USVI (St. John) and BVI (all through the islands and up to Anegada)

November 2012

One week (plus a day): Culebra in the Spanish Virgin Islands with a day-trip to Puerto Rico.

March/April 2012

Three weeks: USVI -> BVI (just for a day) -> Anguilla -> St. Martin -> Saba -> St. Croix -> St. John. Our first overnight passages and the longest we've been out at one go.

November 2011

Two weeks: USVI and BVI with the focus on getting about on foot on the islands - lots of hiking and scenic views

First week Henry and Catherine only: St. Croix and Buck Island
Second week with Caitlin and Jim: British Virgin Islands as far as The Baths and Marina Cay

Mowzer's Crew

Catherine & Henry: We purchased our first boat, a Tanzer 26 in 2007 and sailed her during the summer on the Ottawa River. We then purchased Mowzer in 2009 and started off by getting into the charter business with CYOA. Over the next few years we spent our allotted time aboard learning as much as we could before we set off by ourselves. We finally 'cut the dock lines' as they say and moved aboard in October 2014.

Catherine: Trained in Math & Comp Sci, worked most recently (15 years) in high tech as an HR systems architect, interested in photography, sewing (learning canvas repair), languages, hiking, snorkelling and wants to learn more about diesel engines.

Henry: Trained as an Engineer and worked many years in high tech as a network planner, took a career turn and worked at Home Depot (as a job he could do anywhere in the world), interested in exploration, hiking, cooking, and sports.
